Tottenham Hotspur vs Bournemouth 2019/2020 Preview

Tottenham Hotspur vs Bournemouth Preview: Team news, injury updates, stats, betting tips and predictions

Tottenham welcome Bournemouth to London in Jose Mourinho’s second premier league game. The Portuguese was hired after Argentine national Mauricio Pochettino was sacked last week after 5 years in charge. Jose Mourinho has overseen two games as Spurs manager, a 3-2 win over West Ham last weekend and a 4-2 win against Olympiakos in the champions league midweek.

So far, Jose’s men have not been able to keep goals out but they have been able to outscore their opponents. They are currently 10th on the log, just 1 point behind their opponents Bournemouth after 13 games played. Tottenham will be hopeful for a win against a side that has failed to pick up any points in their last two league games. Tottenham will look to make it 3 wins on the bounce when Bournemouth come visiting and can set their sights on rivals Chelsea, who are 9 points ahead in 4th place.

Bournemouth have registered just 1 win in their last 7 premier league meetings and the visit to the Tottenham Hotspur stadium could not have come at a more inconvenient time. Eddie Howe and his men do not have a good record against Spurs, even though they win the reverse of this fixture last season 1-0. However, they have lost six of seven meetings between the two sides and playing a draw just once while conceding 4 or more goals in four of their last six losses against spurs.

This weekend, their challenges away from home will be under the limelight as they face a team who has scored 21 league goals so far this season. A noteworthy point is the fact that spurs have also conceded 19 goals, which means that Bournemouth have the chance to sneak in a few goals in what should be a free flowing, end to end game.
